Bob Goldberg was a partner with the Firm from 1984 to 2008. In 2008, Bob became of counsel to the firm continuing to collaborate and mentor with the Firm’s attorneys and staff. Prior to joining the Firm, Bob was a partner with the firm of Freeman, Atkins & Coleman, specializing in antitrust and trade regulation matters.

One of Bob’s favorite mottos is “Spending time on a golf course is idyllic, but does not compare to time with family and our beautiful granddaughters.”

Bob Goldberg was a partner with the Firm from 1984 to 2008. In 2008, Bob became of counsel to the firm continuing to collaborate and mentor with the Firm’s attorneys and staff. Prior to joining the Firm, Bob was a partner with the firm of Freeman, Atkins & Coleman, specializing in antitrust and trade regulation matters.

Area of Legal Concentration

Bob concentrates his practice to the areas of antitrust, trade regulation, distribution channels, contract relations, non-for-profit organizations, and litigation. He is honored to advise major corporations and trade associations throughout the world. His writings have been published for the Illinois and Florida Bar Associations, Northwestern University, and numerous association publications. Bob is a frequent lecturer in his areas of expertise.

Upon graduation from law school in 1973, Bob joined the Antitrust Division of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office prosecuting civil and criminal violations of State and Federal Antitrust Statutes.

His government career continued with the Federal Trade Commission where he received national recognition in the monopolization case against the ReaLemon Division of Borden, Inc. and the bait-and-switch case against Sears, Roebuck & Company. Bob was chosen by the FTC to participate in the government’s elite Executive Development Program. Bob’s service to the government was an excellent foundation for his transition to private practice in 1977.
