Prior to joining the Firm, Dave Makarski’s background included significant large firm and judicial clerkship experience. Focusing primarily on commercial litigation at SFNR, Dave previously practiced at Jenner & Block, LLC, and also clerked for the Hon. William J. Bauer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Hon. Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals as a Staff Attorney

AREAS OF LEGAL SPECIALIZATION

Dave handles wide-ranging commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract claims, trade secret disputes, unfair competition and other injunctive relief claims, and partnership disputes. A published author in the Tax Lawyer journal, Dave is also able to apply federal tax considerations to corporate and partnership litigation strategies.
