James D. Voigt



James Voigt joined SFNR as a partner in 2017 focusing on serving a wide array of small business needs as clients launch, grow, and eventually exit their businesses.  Jim served on the Board of Directors of the Corporate Law Association at the John Marshall Law School, where he created and organized the first annual Francis J. Morrissey Corporate Ethics Awards.  Jim volunteers to help low-income individuals and families with legal needs through Administer Justice and his local church.  He co-chairs the PNG Fox Valley Networking Group.


Jim serves clients working in the senior living, assisted living, and memory care industries.  He also focuses on serving clients both large and small prepare their businesses for sale and walks through the sales process with them every step of the way.  He helps clients with general contract review and negotiation, company formation, commercial leasing, and guides clients through the often-difficult issues associated with shareholder or other ownership disputes.  He has developed a unique and affordable system to help clients with annual state filing and records requirements through a client-focused annual reporting system that makes the process convenient and easy for clients.
